Marine Life Survey Continues

University of Hawaii oceanographers are exploring the "abyss," the deepest part of the South Pacific, as part of a Census of Diversity of Marine Life project. 90% of the species they are collecting are new to science, and they have discovered that many species have a very limited range, making them more susceptible to extinction from human activity.
